Day 2 – Thursday, April 29 – Dallas City Tour – Pizza Lunch – Sixth Floor Museum – Museum of Illusions –– Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament
After breakfast, meet your local guide for a Dallas City Tour. Known for its Cowboys football team and amazing Tex-Mex, Dallas is a diverse and vibrant metropolis with a rich culture, amazing architecture, and fascinating history.
Following the tour, enjoy lunch at Campisi’s downtown location with award-winning pizza.
The afternoon starts with a visit to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. The museum chronicles the assassination and legacy of President Kennedy. Located in the historic Texas School Book Depository building, the Museum presents the social and political landscape of the early 1960s, chronicles President Kennedy’s assassination and its aftermath, reflects upon his lasting impact on our country and world, and connects the past to the present for students.
Next, visit the Museum of Illusions. Play amazing tricks on your brain and have a fun shared experience! Here students learn in a multisensory, interactive environment that teaches them about the science of perception, optical illusion, and cognition.
End the day with a Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. Kingdoms come together to celebrate their alliance and a new era of peace. But the celebration may be short lived when rumors of betrayal are afoot. Witness intense sword fights and jousting like you’ve never seen as six knights compete to become defender of the realm. Enjoy a four-course meal and an evening of authentic sword fights and jousting. (B,L,D)
