Arrive today in St. Louis, MO where you enjoy a three-night stay at a local hotel.
Tonight, enjoy dinner and gaming at Dave & Buster’s. (D)
Day 2 – Saint Louis Science Center w/Program & Lunch – National Blues Museum – Performance Option – Gateway Arch w/Tram – Riverboat Dinner Cruise
This morning, visit the Saint Louis Science Center. Science Galleries feature hands-on activities including conducting experiments using microscopes, digging for fossils, and working with computers. Have an out of this world experience at the Boeing Space Station within the SLSC’s McDonnell Planetarium. Included with your visit to the Science Center is an Educational Program and a boxed lunch.
Next, visit the National Blues Museum and explore the blues and celebrate the genre as the foundation of all modern American music. Few forms of American music can claim a history as long, as tradition-rich, and as complex as the blues. Since its origins in the Deep South long ago, the blues has been a bedrock for virtually all American popular music of the last hundred-plus years. It’s learning with a beat, mixing fun with interactive features and exhibits full of unforgettable artifacts.
There will also be time to include a Student Performance today. St. Louis has many venues where performances can be held like: National Blues Museum, City Foundry, Union Station, Six Flags, or the Gateway Arch Riverboat just to name a few.
The afternoon also features a visit to the Gateway Arch. The nation’s tallest monument at 630 feet, the Gateway Arch has beckoned visitors for more than 40 years with its iconic, awe-inspiring shape. The vision of renowned architect Eero Saarinen, the Gateway Arch commemorates Thomas Jefferson and St. Louis’ role in the westward expansion of the United States. Your visit includes a Tram Ride to the Top.
Tonight, you enjoy a dinner cruise aboard the Gateway Arch Riverboat with live jazz music and captivating views of the St. Louis skyline. (B,L,D)
Day 3 – Economy Museum w/Program – Busch Stadium Tour & Lunch – St Louis Aquarium – Evening at Union Station
This morning, visit the award-winning Economy Museum at the St. Louis Fed, where understanding the economy and money comes to life in a truly dynamic way. The museum allows you to engage in a hands-on journey through interactive exhibits, games and videos that cover topics ranging from inflation to banking to the global economy. The newest gallery, The Vault, focuses on all things money related including how money is designed, security features of different bills and how long different bills last. You can also test your strength and try to lift a 28-pound genuine gold bar! Students can engage in a hands-on, one-of-a-kind experience that explains the economy and their role in it, in a fun and interactive way. Also included with your visit to the Economy Museum is a Classroom Program.
Next, head to Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. Visit significant places in Busch Stadium, while learning more about the legacy of the stadium and team from one of the experienced guides. You will also have time to visit the Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum at Cardinals Nation where you will also enjoy lunch.
The afternoon includes a visit to the St. Louis Aquarium at Union Station. Retrofitted in the former train station, the St. Louis Aquarium will take you on an aquatic adventure like no other. From alligator snapping turtles to zebra sharks and interactive experiences, this all-ages attraction has something for everyone.
Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant located at Union Station. Following, enjoy some free time to explore Union Station. This downtown entertainment district features bird’s-eye views on the St. Louis Wheel, evening light shows, mini golf, mirror mazes, ropes course and much more. (B,L,D)
Day 4 – City Museum w/ Lunch – Depart for Home
After breakfast, visit the City Museum, a whimsical warehouse of artsy fun. Explore man-made caves, enjoy funky hands-on art projects, an unusual aquarium and performances by an in-house circus troupe. Recycling is truly an art form at City Museum; a museum made entirely out of recycled materials. The museum building itself was repurposed having started life as a shoe manufacturing factory and warehouse. Items that would have become landfills now fill the floors of the quirky and innovative warehouse of artistic fun. A pizza buffet lunch is included with your visit to the museum.
Following your visit, depart for home. (B,L)
