Itinerary
Day 1 – Thursday – Branson, MO – Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show – Performance Opportunity
Arrive today in Branson, MO, where you enjoy a three-night stay at a local hotel. Tonight, enjoy Dolly Parton’s Stampede Dinner Show. Tighten your bootstraps for a powerful performance that features 32 magnificent horses and a cast of top-notch trick riders in a 35,000 square-foot arena. This dinner show features friendly competition, thrilling horseback riding stunts at top speed, stunning special effects, and phenomenal musical productions, all while you enjoy a mouthwatering four-course family feast.
Dolly Parton’s Stampede in Branson also offers student performance opportunities, including pre-show performances on the “stage-in-the-round” and participation in audience activities. (B,D)
Day 2 – Friday – Titanic Museum/Performance Opportunity – Branson Landing – Student Clinic – Clay Cooper Show
After breakfast, visit the Titanic Museum. You will be swept up in the excitement, wonder and consequences of the Titanic story. See over 400 artifacts and treasures on two decks, walk the Grand Staircase, hear actual survival stories, touch an iceberg and much more. The Titanic Museum also offers a performance opportunity for student groups.
Next, enjoy free time at Branson Landing located on the waterfront of beautiful Lake Taneycomo in downtown Branson. With over 100 shops and entertainment options like Arcade City, ziplining or Buster’s Old Time Photos. Lunch will be included today at one of the restaurants at Branson Landing.
This afternoon, head to the Clay Cooper Theatre for a Student Clinic. Instrumental, choral and show choirs enjoy a warm-up then clinicians will go through several exercises to allow your students improvement in harmonic blend, intonation, and overall performance. The theatre asks that you have one song prepared for the clinician to practice with your students. Groups may also have the chance to perform at the Opening Act before the evening show.
There is also a clinic for dance, cheering and gymnastics groups. Enjoy a full body warm-up followed by technical training in any specific area including leaps, turns, partnering, kicks, ballroom dancing, tap, clogging or a challenging class to warm-up your students before their performance.
Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant this evening followed by a Clay Cooper Performance. If you are looking for a fun and exciting show that will keep you fully entertained, then look no further. Clay Cooper’s Country Express hosts an incredible cast of dancers, singers and musicians. The show, features music of all styles including country, rock n roll, gospel, and even patriotic! Day 3 – Saturday – Music in the Parks Festival or Morning Show – Silver Dollar City – Showboat Branson Belle
Today features the Music in the Parks Festival. (Festival is available April and May. A morning show can be substituted if the festival is not available.)
Music In The Parks is an educationally focused music festival that provides school performance ensembles with the opportunity to learn from exceptional conductors in the field of music education today.
Student musicians will learn from adjudicators to improve musical growth, achievement and recognition for both the individuals and the participating music programs.
After a morning of Festival activities, enjoy the afternoon at Silver Dollar City. This 1880s-style theme park has 30 thrilling rides & attractions, 40 live shows daily, 60 unique shops, a dozen family restaurants and over 100 demonstrating craftsmen. There’s plenty to keep you busy. Lunch will be included today in the park.
You will also celebrate the Music in The Park Awards Ceremony today at Silver Dollar City.
End the day with dinner and a show on the Showboat Branson Belle. Set sail for adventure on the open waters of Table Rock Lake with live music, dancing, comedy, magic, a meal and more! As you’re entertained, you’ll enjoy a delicious 3-course meal prepared fresh in the ship’s galley and take in beautiful views of Table Rock Lake on your 2-hour cruise. (B,L,D)
Day 4 – Sunday – Dogwood Canyon Nature Park Tram Tour w/lunch – Depart for Home
This morning after breakfast and depart Branson. Enjoy a Dogwood Canyon Nature Park Tram Tour and take a “ride on the wild side. Step aboard a comfortable, open-air tram and explore the beauty of Dogwood Canyon on a 2-hour Wildlife Tram Tour. You’ll wind through the canyon floor, past towering bluffs and waterfalls, making a stop at the Glory Hole (a magnificent blue-green pool where some of very large trout reside). Then cross the Arkansas border where your tram may mingle with herds of American bison, elk, whitetail deer and Texas longhorn. Lunch is included.
Following the tour, depart for home. (B,L)
