Itinerary
Day 1 – Friday – Virginia Beach, VA
Arrive today in Virginia Beach, VA where you enjoy a three-nights of lodging. Dinner is included this evening at a local restaurant. (D)
Day 2 – Saturday – Music in the Parks Festival – Afternoon at Busch Gardens w/dinner – Awards Ceremony
Today features the Music in the Parks Festival in Newport News, VA. Music in the Parks Festival is an educationally focused music festival that provides school performance ensembles with the opportunity to learn from exceptional conductors in the field of music education today.
Student musicians will learn from adjudicators to improve musical growth, achievement and recognition for both the individuals and the participating music programs.
After the morning of Festival activities, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
Then enjoy the afternoon at beautiful Busch Gardens Williamsburg. This European-themed adventure park boasts more than 100 acres of fun. Busch Gardens Williamsburg is home to world-class roller coasters, award-winning entertainment, and more than 50 rides and attractions.
Loch Ness Monster, the park’s most iconic attraction, is celebrating 46 years with a full restoration in 2024. Loch Ness Monster: The Legend Lives On features all-new thematic and experiential elements, which can be experienced now!
You will also celebrate the Music in The Park Awards Ceremony today at Busch Gardens. Dinner will be included today in the park. (B,L,D)
Day 3 – Sunday – Virginia Beach Aquarium w/lunch – High Speed Boat Ride – Free Time for Beach – Virginia Beach Military Aviation Museum w/dinner
After breakfast, visit the Virginia Beach Aquarium. Explore the many unique exhibits from Harbor Seals to Komodo Dragons, River Otters to Tiger Sharks, Loggerhead Turtles and Great Horned Owls. It’s one of America’s greatest aquariums and is sure to provide you an entertaining visit. Lunch will be included today with your visit to the Aquarium.
Next, take an exciting ride on the Rudee Rocket Speed Boat Tour along the Virginia Beach Oceanfront! This speed boat tour will have you experience the Atlantic Ocean and mouth of the Chesapeake Bay like never before! Enjoy a thrilling, fast ride at exciting speeds! During this speed boat cruise, you will watch Bottlenose Dolphin jump and surf in the boat’s wake as the Rocket speeds along the oceanfront. It will then make its way along the shoreline past the famous and historic Cape Henry Lighthouses and our beautiful gold coast. Oh, and You Will Get Wet!
Then you will have free time to enjoy the beach on your own.
This evening, tour the Virginia Beach Military Aviation Museum, home to one of the world’s largest collections of flying vintage military aircraft. Our purpose-built airport facility includes over 50 aircraft from the World War I and World War II era. The museum is also home to historical structures located on 130 acres. With static displays, and regular flying demonstrations featuring some of history’s most iconic aircraft, the Museum is a ‘must see’ attraction! Dinner will be included with your visit to the museum. Day 4 – Monday – Nauticus & USS Battleship Wisconsin w/lunch – Depart for Home
This morning, visit Norfolk’s science center, Nauticus, with interactive maritime history and science exhibits. You’ll find the Hampton Roads Naval Museum in Nauticus which introduces over 200 years of naval history in Coastal Virginia. Located next to Nauticus is the Battleship Wisconsin, the largest and last battleship ever built by the U.S. Navy. Walk her teak decks and discover the vast history of this great ship.
Enjoy an included lunch at the Nauticus before starting your journey home. (B,L)
