Day 2 – ZooTampa /w boxed lunch – Clearwater Marine Aquarium w/Program – Clearwater Beach – Dinner Cruise
This morning, visit ZooTampa at Lowery Park, home to more than 1300 animals and famous for having one of the most beautiful, tropical zoological settings in the world. The Zoo brings together animals and visitors to create unforgettable, natural connections. Get closer to wildlife than ever before by touching a giant tortoise, feeding a giraffe, getting nose-to-horn with an Indian rhino, hand-to-fin with slippery stingrays and more! A boxed lunch will be included today with your visit.
Next, visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Enjoy an educational guided tour led by a knowledgeable marine biologist. Dive deep into the work that is done at a marine animal hospital and get an insider’s look into the resident animal’s rescue stories. Gain a deeper understanding of the vital conservation efforts that everyone can contribute to. With a marine biologist as your guide, this immersive tour promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you inspired and awestruck by the wonders of the marine world.
Following the visit, head to the Marine Academy Education Center for an educational classroom program. Classroom discussions could include Terrific Turtles, Make Way for Manatees, Marine Biology 101, Operations Winter’s Tail, Rescue Responders, Dolphin Research or Sea Your Future Careers at the Aquarium.
After your visit to the Aquarium, enjoy a little free time for fun in the sun at Clearwater Beach.
End the day with a dinner cruise on the Calypso Queen. This evening cruise offers breathtaking views of the calm & tranquil waters of Florida. Enjoy dancing, music and a tropical buffet dinner. The Cruise Director/DJ provides music for dancing and fun interactive entertainment. (B,L,D)
Day 3 – Busch Gardens w/ Serengeti Safari & Meal Voucher
Today will feature a full day at Busch Gardens. Start with School on the Serengeti, a 30-minute safari to truck across the Serengeti Plain where you have the chance to hand-feed giraffes. This is a unique and up-close look at African wildlife. Be prepared for amazing photo opportunities as this adventure creates memories that last a lifetime!
Following the safari, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy Busch Gardens. A unique blend of thrilling rides, one of the country’s premier zoos with more than 12,000 animals, live shows, restaurants, shops and games, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay provides unrivaled excitement for guests of every age.
A Meal Voucher will be included with your visit for both lunch and dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 4 – Swim with Manatees – Dolphin Cruise – Dinner at Dave & Buster’s
Today, head to Crystal River, FL for the chance to swim with manatees. Crystal River offers the best location to see and interact with the Florida manatee, a subspecies of the West Indian manatee, also known as gentle giants. Unlike other areas of Florida, the federal government allows for “passive observation” in the water between manatees and people in Kings Bay. This allows face-to-face interaction with manatees. You will receive pre-tour training on passive observation and how to get the best experience during the tour. Manatee tour experiences are best done by snorkeling while wearing wet suits, making the interaction as silent as possible. This way the manatees are more inclined to approach and get close.
Lunch will be included today at a local restaurant.
Returning to Tampa this afternoon, enjoy a Dolphin Cruise. Get your camera ready and experience the joy of dolphins leaping and rambunctiously playing just for you. Tampa Bay dolphins love the sound of the boat engines and have been naturally performing for the Dolphin Queen for more than 28 years. Plus, you’ll enjoy seeing an abundance of sea birds and other marine life. And as you cruise by the Coast Guard Base and historic St. Petersburg mansions, you’ll learn more about this beautiful city by the bay.
End the day with dinner at Dave & Buster’s. (B,L,D)
Day 5 – Florida Aquarium w/Educational Program & Lunch – Depart for Home
After breakfast, enjoy one last attraction, the Florida Aquarium. Come face to fin with some of the world’s apex predators, see eye-to-eye with sea turtles, feel a jelly bell and take in hundreds of fish species. See three interactive touch habitats and utterly engaging and resilient species with unique adaptations in MORPH’D!
Included with your visit to the aquarium is an educational program. From scientific investigation to hands-on discovery to doing a squid dissection, enhance your field trip experience with one of the Aquarium’s engaging education programs led by Aquarium experts.
Lunch will be included today at the Aquarium before departing for home. (B,L)
